It has been reported that a 10 year old, who was repeated raped by her vile uncle has delivered a baby by Cesarean section in a state hospital in the northwestern city of Chandigarh in India.
The abuse by her uncle came to light after the girl complained about a stomach and was taken to hospital where it was discovered that she was 30 weeks pregnant.
Her uncle was arrested soon afterwards but a local court refused to grant the child an abortion, saying it was too risky at such a late stage. A plea in the Supreme Court was dismissed for the same reason on July 28.
The parents have refused to take custody of the baby and have agreed to adoption through the state agency.
