The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared candidate of All Progressives Congress Rotimi Akeredolu as governor-elect of Ondo state.
Akeredolu polled 244,842 votes in the Saturday election.
Declaring the winner, Prof Abdulganiy Ambali, the Vice chancellor of University of Ilorin who served as the returning officer said the candidate 'having satisfied the requirement of the law is thereby declared the winner of the election.'
Akeredolu's closest rival, Eyitayo Jegede of the People's Democratic Party garnered 150, 380 votes.
