Suspicious material washed up on the coast of Western Australia and its relevance to missing MH370 flight is under investigation, the search coordination centre said on Wednesday.
"The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is examining the photographs of the material to determine whether physical analysis is required and if there is any relevance to the search of missing flight MH370,’’ the Joint Agency Coordination Centre (JACC), which is overseeing the multi-national search, said in a statement.
The suspicious material was washed ashore 10 km east of Augusta, a city on the southwest coast of Australia, according to Western Australian Police.
