Mohamed Shahid Butt, a Muslim businessman facing terrorism charges in Mombasa, Kenya has been murdered by two unknown gunmen, BBC reported.
Butt who was due to appear in court next month and face charges for allegedly funding the radicalization of Muslim youth was driving back from the airport on Friday evening when his car was blocked by another vehicle and two gunmen opened fire.
Butt's murder is not the first of its kind as a string of people associated with Islamic extremism have reportedly met the same fate on the coast near Mombassa.
