Ahmad Mahmud, Deputy to Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa state has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC ; PREMIUM TIMES reports.
Mahmud will be received into the APC alongside some officials of the PDP-led state government by the state APC chairman, Ado Kiri, the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Badaru Abubakar, and other APC leaders in the state.
The defection has been confirmed by the Deputy Governor's office, although no reason was given for it.
