Although the Super Eagles did not win any of their pre-World Cup tune-up matches, coach Stephen Keshi has insisted that Nigeria will be ready to perform when the World Cup starts June 12, 2014.

Grouped alongside Argentina, Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina, the African Champions will be aiming to qualify for their group.

Despite playing a 2-2 draw against Scotland, goalless against Greece and a 2-1 loss to United States, Keshi says he is not bothered by the scorelines in the friendlies.

"We are in Brazil for serious business. Friendlies are meant to serve as rehearsals; the team is different from competitive matches.

"This is not an excuse for our performance in the matches, but seriously speaking, the results do not mean anything to me, evaluate us in the World Cup."

Speaking about Argentina’s Lionel Messi, Keshi said that at the moment he’s more concerned about winning the games against Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina

"We have two games before thinking about Messi," he said.

"We will try to do better than we did in 2010 in South Africa but we'll see what happens when the World Cup starts."
