Governor Nasir El-rufai has introduced the Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS). its purpose is to replace the old Ministry of Lands, and is now building a digital land registry.
It will be recall that the Kaduna State Executive Council at its fifth meeting on Monday, 14 September 2015, approved a draft bill for the establishment of the Kaduna State Geographic Information Service (KADGIS).
The KADGIS will be used to create electronic land registry for the state, and facilitate the electronic registration of land documents.
“The simpler processes and modern products KADGIS will provide will also encourage investors and create clarity about who owns what, speed up land transactions and contribute to the government’s quest to make Kaduna State a more favourable place to do business”, he said.
