There was pandemonium at the Kano state Sharia Court, located at the Audu Bako Secretariat, as senior and junior workers fled their offices following the arrival of EFCC operatives.
The workers upon sighting some men dressed in corporate outfits arriving the court premises, who they feared were EFCC operatives, fell upon each other to seek cover. It was believed that the men were there to investigate rankling corruption in the court.
Kano State Anti-Corruption and Public Complaints Commission, chaired by Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, had reportedly threatened to forward corruption cases being investigated by the agency to EFCC for prosecution.
