Kanu,a former player of West Brom, congratulated Ideye on the move and is optimistic that the 25-year old will succeed at the club.

Ideye last week joined West Brom from Dynamo Kiev on a club record fee of £10million,and he will be coming with loads of expectation on him.

"First I have called him and congratulated him. I wished him all the best in his new challenge," Kanu told KickOffNigeria.com.

"He should be focused and work hard to make a mark. The fans will love him if he works very hard and scores goals."

"He is very hardworking and humble and he always tries to put the team first. I'm sure West Brom will be very happy about the player they have signed."
