A key witness in the trial of Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Abuja high court was almost assassinated on Monday after 8 men stormed his house with the aim to kill him.
The gunmen arrived Dr. Sani Teidi's home around 2 a.m. and held his wife and kids hostage while he hid in his bedroom upstairs. A quick intervention by the police rescued him.
He is now in police custody.
Dr. Teidi was to testify on how the judge, while presiding over his trial, allegedly demanded N25 million bribe to grant him bail.
