World King of Jordan May Personally Lead Retaliatory Air Strike Against ISIS - As Nigerians Attack GEJ

BOOM!

It takes very little to get the internet going this days, but this - what happened quite early today - was quite big. Now while everyone is skeptical - even the big papers are calling it 'reports' - an image of King Abdullah of Jordan is in circulation, with the good king wearing combat gear and looking as grimly determined as a man about to avenge the death of a citizen of his state.

As you will remember, ISIS terrorists killed - while filming, and afterwards broadcasting - a Jordanian pilot by locking him in a cage and setting him on fire. It was truly, honestly, gory. To say the least.

Since then, Jordan retaliated by killing Jihadists - but that apparently isn't enough, if these rumors that the King himself will be flying an air plane and leading the attacks against the terrorist scum called ISIS are to be believed.

International Business Times has this to say:

"While other global leaders rant their exasperations and anger towards the extremists ISIS fighters and its entire caliphate, one leader may just take matters in his own hands. Jordan's King Abdullah II, visibly shaken and angered over the death of one of his kingdom’s military pilots, has vowed to exact revenge. Reports in Arabic-language newspapers hinted he may don his pilot suit and drop the bombs himself.

Photos have emerged over the Internet of a poker-faced Jordan King Abdullah II who was wearing a fatigue green army uniform. The reports emerged after the Jordanian leader vowed a relentless war against the ISIS right on their own territory. The portal dailycaller said the king leader, a trained pilot, “may fly a bomber himself on Thursday.”

Nigerians have picked up - as if on cue - on this and have roundly abused their own President (Goodluck Jonathan, incumbent and contesting candidate for the elections in a few days' time) for being just 'too lazy' where Boko Haram (our own localized 'ISIS') is concerned.

A few tweets from Nigerians this morning read:

A smaller group of people have argued that - in all fairness - it would be cruel to expect a Dr. of Zoology to fly a plane against Boko Haram.

One doesn't necessarily need a military training to have a lion heart. The President doesn't have to lead the battle, but he must show some real signs of dedication to winning the battle. Obama has never been to the war front, yet his words have always set his armies in motion.

@Temitope even Obama has gotten his share of heavy criticism since this currently unsubstantiated report of Jordan's king came out.

I think somewhere I read a commentator say: "Look, some people don't only talk the talk of counterterrorism - they walk the walk too. King Abdullah is going to war while Obama is taking photos.'

That's interesting... But like one of the comments you featured in this report. Obama too is not a trained military personnel and that is the edge the King of Jordan has over them all.
