The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Kogi East Senatorial rerun election, Retired Air Vice Marshall Isaac Alfa, was in early lead going by the results that trickled in yesterday, DailyTrust reports.
Results for the Idah State Constituency held in Ogegele Ward showed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) “with no” candidate was in early lead just as the PDP candidate was also leading in the Ofu State Constituency rerun by the early results.
The Kogi State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Samuel Usman had listed Ankpa, Bassa, Dekina, Ibaji, Igalamela/Odolu, Ofu, Olamaboro and Idah as the local government areas where the senatorial re-run election would take place.
The state constituency re-run elections were conducted in 1 Polling Unit out of 89 (PU 003) in Idah while in Ofu, election was conducted in 79 Polling Units out of 129.
