On Sunday, two of the five governors who defected from the ruling Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC) made a surprise appearance at a PDP peace meeting called by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano state and Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto state arrived the meeting venue together at about 9pm.
Others present at the peace meeting included the National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), Chairman, Board of Trustees of the PDP, Chief Tony Anenih, Vice -President Namadi Sambo, governors of Abia, Kebbi, Kogi, Katsina, Bauchi, Plateau, Enugu, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Ebonyi, Kaduna and Taraba States.
Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, who is one of the remaining G7 governors that is yet to declare for the APC was conspicuously absent.
