18-year-old man, Dotun Abiodun, on Tuesday appeared before a Tinubu Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing N25,000 and a Techno phone, valued at N10,500.
The prosecutor, Insp. Ignatius Okeke, told the court that the accused, with others at large, committed the offence around 8pm on Dec. 3 at Idota Bridge, Lagos.
Okeke said that the accused and his accomplices accosted the complainant and dispossessed him of the phone and money.
He said that they took off after committing the act, but ran into a police patrol team which arrested the accused.
The magistrate, Mr A. Adefulire, granted the accused a bail of N10,000 and adjourned the case till Jan 27 for mention.
