The husband of Mercy Aigbe, a popular Nollywood actress, has been remanded in prison following his arraignment at an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
Olanrewaju Gentry was granted a bail of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum by the Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Y.O. Aje-Afunwa.
The sureties were required to submit their tax verification documents, with one of them having a house within the jurisdiction of the court. The case was thereafter adjourned to 12th July 2017 for further hearing.
However, before he could meet the bail conditions, the presiding magistrate was reported to have closed for the day.
He was subsequently remanded in prison.
