Leader of the five lawmakers opposed to the Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi, Hon. Evans Bipi, has flayed the rate at which some of his colleagues ‘illegally’ grant approval for bank loans.
This is coming barely 24 hours after 15 lawmakers present during Monday’s sitting led by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Otelemaba Dan- Amachree, gave approval to a N50bn bond requested by the governor.
Bipi, who is the member representing Ogu/ Bolo Constituency in the Assembly, was reacting to Monday’s approval of N50bn loan for Amaechi by the lawmakers loyal to him during a sitting at Government House, Port Harcourt.
