Libyan security forces arrested 38 illegal migrants from various African countries, the Libyan News Agency reported on Monday, quoting the head of the commission tasked with tackling immigration issues, Ali Mansour al-Toumi.
The agency said the illegal migrants were arrested in a location not far from the town of Moussalata.
It said the illegal migrants would be questioned before being repatriated to their respective countries.
Libya has been under pressure from Europe, following the influx of African and Asian migrants, who use Libya as their crossing point into Europe, especially via the Italian island of Lampedusa.
