Africa- Tunisian defence official said in Tunis that a medical plane belonging to the Libyan military crashed on Friday in Grombalia, south Tunisian capital, killing all 11 people on board.
The victims were six crewmen, three patients and two escorts.
Tawfik al-Rahmuni, Spokesman for the Defence Ministry, said the last call received by the control tower at Tunis airport from the plane crew was that its engines had caught fire.
He said the plane was on its way to Tunis and went down in the area of Grombalia, about 35 kilometres south of Tunis.
