A BLACK bear is leading LAPD officers on a wild goose chase through a northern Los Angeles suburb.
The bear was first spotted at 7am LA time near a church in the northern part of the San Fernando Valley.
Police and wildlife officials evacuated children from a nearby school as the bear climbed too high in a nearby tree to be safely tranquilised.
