A Gudu Upper Area Court in Abuja, on Thursday, sentenced one Sani Shehu to four strokes of cane for stealing half a bag of crayfish.
The judge, Alhaji Umar Kagarko, told the convict to desist from committing crime.
The prosecutor, Mr A. O. Urom, had told the court that one Aliyu Moses, a policeman attached to Garki Modern Market, arrested the convict who resides at Dei Dei village, Abuja, on November 30.
Urom said the convict was arrested with half a bag of crayfish and could not explain how he came about it.
