Freedom Nyathi, a Zimbabwean national has been jailed for 8 months for having sexual intercourse with a donkey.
The 20-years-old was convicted of 'bestiality' when he appeared before the Zvishavane Magistrate Court, where he was sentenced.
According to the prosecutor Shiela Mpindu, Nyathi, was caught abusing the donkey on March 17. He said the matter was reported to the donkey owner who informed the police. Nyathi was promptly arrested.
Admitting to the crime, Nyathi said that he was a married man with a pregnant wife and didn't know what overcame him.
