The parents of twelve-year-old Onyekachi Mbanozo had hoped and prayed that their son would one day become a pride to their family. It was clear to them, too, that the dream could only come true where their son acquired western education, which they could not afford to give him back in the village.
They had waited patiently until the opportunity presented itself when one of their cousins, identified as Paul Obiefule, was in the village sometime early last year for a ceremony. They had believed it was a chance of a life time, but they were dead wrong. At that occasion, it was gathered that Onyekachi’s parents approached Obiefule to help train their ward in Lagos and the latter agreed and so Onyekachi joined him back to Lagos.
