Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, paid a surprise visit to Lagos, Nigeria on Tuesday.
Speaking at the Co-Creation Hub in Yaba on Tuesday evening, Zuckerberg said he was in Nigeria to learn about the startup ecosystem in the country.
"... hope to get to travel around the world and [sic] here, he runs a lot of our partnerships and.. we've been talking about the energy and the entrepreneur community out here and I'm so grateful to get a chance to visit and hear what you guys are doing," he said.
"So, I just want to walk around and meet you guys and hear what you're building," he added.
Tomorrow, Zuckerberg is expected to host a Q&A session sharing Facebook’s strategic plans in Nigeria and Quartz Africa said there are unconfirmed reports that he plans to visit the President before he leaves.
