Olympic champion Michael Phelps has been handed a six-month ban after he was found guilty of drink-driving.
The multiple winning Olympic medallist,was caught last week speeding at 84mph (135km/h) in a 45mph zone in Baltimore, Maryland,USA.
The implication of Phelps' ban is that he will not be selected for the 2015 World Championships in Kazan, Russia.
Phelps' ban will elapse on April 6, 2015, but the USA Swimming body said that he will be selected to them at the championship which will take place in August.
The 29-year old initially retired from Swimming at the London 2012 Olympics,but made a comeback this year and is now aiming to add to his impressive 22 Olympic medals at the Rio 2016 Games.
