Friday in #Akure inaugurated a task force to evacuate illegal immigrants, destitute and other social miscreants from the state.
Represented by Dr Roti Areola, the Secretary to the State Government, Mimiko explained that the task force would enhance public safety and sanity.
According to him, the task force was put in place to ensure that no room is given to anyone to perpetrate evil in the state.
"Government has noticed influx of immigrants and worrisome behaviour of some citizens in recent times, hence, the need to strengthen security for the betterment of all and sundry," he said.
The governor, who said the task force would be functional in the three Senatorial Districts of the state, urged members of the task force to respect the human rights of those to be apprehended.
