MTV Africa's recently released Top 20 Greatest Nigerian Songs of All Time has songs like 2Face's African Queen, 9ice's Gongo Aso and DavidO's Dami Duro.
Songs by artistes like African China, Fela, Daddy Showkey and Sound Sultan are conspicuously missing, which has led several social media commentators to agree that the list of more a motley mix of the last ten years of Nigerian pop culture as it references music, and not really an 'all-time' list.
Meanwhile, Iyanya in a (subsequently deleted) tweet aired his grievances for not making the list.
