The Naira on Sunday depreciated further against the dollar on the parallel market due to an increase in scarcity of the greenback.
The currency exchanged for N440 per dollar on Sunday.
The latest declines in the naira value started on Wednesday, a day after the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Monetary Policy Committee retained the benchmark lending rate at 14 per cent.
On Thursday it closed at 436/dollar and ended Friday exchanging at 439/dollar.
