Nigeria- According to Proshare, Naira started the week on a positive note, exchanging at N226.60/$1 to appreciate by +0.18% when compared to the N227/$1 it traded for the previous day. The BDC’s buying rate is between N222 and N223 to a dollar.
The very weak demand for Pounds Sterling and Euro dropped their exchange rates against the naira to N325 and N232 respectively.
The buying rate of Pounds sterling and Euro from the BDC’s stand at N320/£ and N225/€ respectively.
Nigeria's naira traded within a range at which it has been stuck for almost a month on the interbank market, supported by dollar sales from the central bank and oil companies, dealers according to Reuters said on Monday.
