Sports New Premier League fixtures out : Man Utd and Chelsea get easy starts

Manchester United's new manager Louis Van Gaal got the best possible fixtures he could have wished off with the former Premier League champions going to play three newly promoted teams in their first six games.

The 2014/2015 league season will commence on August 16,when the first set of matches for the new campaign will be played.

Defending champions of the Premier League Manchester City will start the defence of their title with a trip to Saint James Park where they will play Newcastle United.

While their neighbours Manchester United will play host to Swansea at Old Trafford in Van Gaal's first home league game.

Liverpool will be at home to Southampton on the league's opening day,while Arsenal will host Crystal Palace.

Jose Mourinho's Chelsea will travel to newly promoted Burnley on the same opening day of the new season.
