While the FIFA’s hands are currently full with Suarez’ teething problems, the football governing body has found a way to squeeze in time to investigate Neymar’s underpants.

You should know, FIFA doesn’t joke with its sponsors exclusivity and Neymar’s suddenly famous knickers seem to be infringing on this interest.

The UOL reports that matters came to a head when it was discovered that Neymar’s partially exposed underwear were ‘unsponsored’ by a FIFA – affiliated brand. This ‘horror’ as discovered after Neymar swapped shirts following Brazil 4-1 win over Cameroon.

If you think FIFA came here to play, think again: remember Nicklas Bendtner was fined $125,797 in 2012 for by the UEFA when he lifted his shirt to celebrate a goal and it was discovered his waistband carried the name of a betting firm.

So, if you are worried that FIFA doesn’t care (for example, about players biting other players on the pitch), remember how proactive they get over underpants.
