Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, former Edo State representative on the Board of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, on Thursday declared that those asking President Goodluck Jonathan not to seek re-election in 2015 were calling for the disintegration of the country.
According to Vanguard, the Edo chieftain said, "When Niger Delta militants were fighting, it did not stop the late President Umaru Yar’Adua from contesting the election. So, the fact that Boko Haram is waging war against Nigeria cannot stop Jonathan from seeking re-election.
"I don’t see the Boko Haram insurgency disrupting elections in 2015. That is actually the motive of those people trying to frustrate government from conducting peaceful election in 2015".
