Metro Nigeria Army Nabs 12 Boko Haram Members on The Run

Twelve suspected members of the Boko Haram sect who were on the run have been arrested by troops on Operation Lafiya Dole in Borno, Army Spokesman Col. Sani Usman has announced.

In a statement released on Friday, he said all the arrested suspects have been handed over to Joint Investigation Committee for further action.

They are: Abur Modu Magaji, Ibrahim Chari, Bulama Magaji, Nde Ngude, Mustafa Fannami, Abubakakar Modu, Mohammed Merai and Abur Mustafa.

Others are Bakura Agwala, Jatau Yaga, Umar Modu, Abacha Umar and Umar Babagana.

Abur Modu Magaji was apprehended at Kasuwar Shanu (Cattle Market) on Friday afternoon and has admitted to rustling 45 cows from Saleh Mohamed with 20 other Boko Haram terrorists at gun point.

He assisted in pointing out 7 other suspected terrorists at Mafa road checkpoint.

Bakura Agwala, Jatau Yaga and Umar Modu were arrested at a checkpoint along Maiduguri-Mafa road by troops with the assistance of Civilian JTF. They also confessed that they were involved in attacks and livestock rustling.
