The deadline given by FIFA to Nigeria to either reinstate the Aminu Maigari-led board of the Nigeria Football Federation, or face expulsion from the Under 20 Female World Cup, scheduled for next month in Canada, expires today.
The World Football governing body has already asked the South African female Under 20 team to be ready to replace their Nigerian counterparts at the tournament if the country fails to comply with the order to revert to status quo regarding Maigari’s sacking.

The FIFA also faulted the Congress’ decision to dissolve the boards of the Nigeria National League, Nigeria Women’s League, and the Nigeria Nationwide League saying the move was ‘highly interfered with by the Government.’
