An unnamed man was on Tuesday beaten black and blue after he was caught stealing a Toyota Camry vehicle at the popular Okpara Square in Abia State Capital, Umuahia around 9:30 am.
According to reports, he came all the way from Owerri, Imo State, to steal the car.
Luck, however, ran out on him after a dreaded vigilante group in the state – ‘Bakassi boys’, nabbed him, tied him to an iron gate and beat him to stupor before handing him over to the police.
