Business Nigeria: Massive Sack Looms as FG Plans to Merge FAAN and NCAA

According to a report from New Telegraph, a massive wave of sacking looms at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

This is as FG has concluded plans to prune the number of directorates in the aviation agencies.

The reduction in the number of directorates, New Telegraph learnt, would affect two major aviation agencies: the FAAN and NCAA. . Except for the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) which has always operated with five directorates, the two other agencies’ directorates were expanded three years ago by former Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah, to between six and 10.

The Federal Government is said to be worried over the huge overhead as it tries to cut down on recurrent expenditure and focus more on capital expenditure.
