A popular militant group in South South Nigeria, The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, has endorsed Muhammadu Buhari, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
PREMIUM TIMES reports that MEND announced the endorsement on Tuesday in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Jomo Gbomo.
In the statement, the militant group blasted President Goodluck Jonathan and first lady Dame Patience Jonathan.
The group concluded the statement by expressing confidence that a Buhari led government will fight corruption and develop Nigeria.
