The Nigerian senate on Thursday has ordered that former EFCC chairman Ibrahim Lamorde, be arrested.
Lamorde had refused to honour several invitations of the Committee to answer charges brought against him while in office. Specifically he was accused of diversion of N1 trillion recovered loot.
The Chairman of the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, Senator Sam Anyawu, while presenting the report of the Committee to the Senate, requested for a warrant of arrest on Larmode and it was granted.
