Ike Ekweremadu, Nigeria's deputy senate President on Sunday said that the upper chamber of the National Assembly would reconvene from its recess if President Muhammadu Buhari is ready with his ministerial list.
Ekweremadu said, ''though we are on recess, most of us are very much around doing other legislative duties. Therefore, if the need arises, we will quickly reconvene to give Nigerians the service we were elected to offer; especially if the ministerial list is sent by the President'', THIS DAY reports.
Ekweremadu insisted that the Senate will at all times put the interest of Nigerians first.
