Metro Nigeria: Shiite Muslims Make Fresh Accusations Against Nigerian Army

Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (Shiites), in a group presentation to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) have said that their clash with the Nigerian Army in last December, was premeditated.

The group on Tuesday in Abuja was asked to tell its side of what happened on December 12, 2015 in Zaria, Kaduna State.

The leader of the Free Zakzaky Campaign, Abdulrahman Yola, said that the plan was well executed and called on the panel set by the NHRC to do justice to the matter.

“I do pray that all who love this country and humanity, will try all they could, to see that the truth be made public so that we would know why this unfortunate incident happened.

“As far as we are concerned, it was something that was premeditated – well planned and executed,” Mr Yola said.
