Members of the Islamic Movement of Muslim (IMN) yesterday stormed the National Assembly in large number demanding the release of their leader, Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Zakzaky.
Zakzaky was arrested in December last year following the fracas between his followers and men of the Nigerian Army.
Members of the sect, who carried placards with various inscriptions, said Zakzaky’s continued detention was an act of injustice.
It was observed that some of the sect members were shouting ‘Buhari, you must release our leader, Zakzaky,’ while others shouted ‘Zakzaky has done nothing wrong, we demand for his release.’
