Nigeria's Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday announced that the Federal Government was planning to generate 7, 000 megawatts of electricity within the next 18 months.
According to him, power remains a major challenge the Federal Government had been facing, and is determined to solve.
He said the most important part of the budget would focus on ensuring that the weak aspect of the power value chain was restored.
He spoke at the presentation of a book “Nigeria: The Challenges of Growth and Development, an In-Depth Analysis by Experts,” held at the Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan, Ibadan.
