#Nigeria urged to adopt laws to indict #BokoHaram for humanity crimes
WELLINGTON, June 13 (Xinhua) -- An international group of legislators has urged the Nigerian government to fully implement laws that will enable prosecutors to lay charges of humanity crimes against the abductors of more than 200 schoolgirls from a remote school in April.
New Zealand Member of Parliament and president of Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) Ross Robertson said Friday that the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) had stated in its 2013 report that there was a reasonable basis to believe that crimes against humanity had been committed in Nigeria by Boko Haram insurgents.
