Vice President of the Independent Petroleum Marketing Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Alhaji Abubakar Dankigari, has blamed CBN's forex policy mostly for the recent hike in the price of kerosene in Nigeria.

“The issue is that it is not available. Secondly, most of our refineries are not loading it now. Even if they load will be selling it at exorbitant rate to marketers,” he said according The Nation.

He added that members of his association are not importing kerosene, because of expensive dollar.

“Besides, Kerosene is not fully deregulated. It is not like AGO. The DPK and PMS are not fully deregulated,” he said.

Abuja residents now pay between N350 and N450 per litre for the commodity.
