The Nigerian Air Force Base located in Maiduguri has been reportedly attacked by Islamic insurgents, causing, Arik Airways, the airline company to cancel its usual flights to Maiduguri on Monday.
Fortunately, it was reported that the attack was successfully repelled by the Air base’s security personnel.
The Air Force Base is located next to the Maiduguri airport. Investigations are underway to determine the reason for the attack by the suspected Islamic insurgents.
