Metro Nigerian Army Intercepts Armed Robbers, Kills 2 in Kaduna

Troops from 1 Division Nigerian Army Kaduna have intercepted armed robbers at Pambegwa, Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing two of them.

Disclosing this in a statement signed by 1 Division Deputy Director Public Relations, Colonel Usman Abdul, the Army division said items recovered from the robbers included one Toyota Hilux vehicle with registration number ABC 101 HM, a pump action rifle with 14 rounds of live cartridge, a sum of N310,000:00 and a handset.

In another statement, the 1 Division Nigerian Army said it had intensified a campaign code named Operation SHARAN DAJI in the North-West and part of North-Central states to rid the states of criminals.

He said the operation is targeted at flushing out criminals, especially armed bandits and cattle rustlers that have been terrorizing rural communities.
