Millions of Nigerians now shop online. Both the proliferation of mobile phones and the rollout of faster internet networks have helped the expansion of e-commerce activities in Nigeria and in other parts of the continent. Here is a list of some leading e-commerce sites in Nigeria.

1. Mall for Africa -
is one of the leading online procurement sites in Africa. The major aim of MallForAfrica is to give Africans a platform through which to purchase items directly from international online retailers - companies that, otherwise, would be inaccessible to the African population. Currently, MallforAfrica is focused on one of the fastest growing economies in the world - Nigeria.

2. Jumia - Jumia Nigeria, established in May 2012, is Nigeria’s version of amazon.com. The popularity of Jumia Nigeria has gone far beyond the shores of this continent and was rated by Amazon’s alexa as the most visited ecommerce website in Nigeria. You can find virtually all your house hold needs on Jumia, from consumer electronics to fashion products, you’d definitely see something of interest when shopping on Jumia.

3. Konga - Just like Jumia, Konga is one of the leading e-commerce blogs in Nigeria. Konga, like Jumia, was also founded in the year 2012 and has since grown to be one of the best. Konga has a range of consumer electronics, bags, fashion items and many other products.

4. Yudala: Yudala is Nigeria's Largest Online & Retail Chain. It offers its consumers purchase in Phones & Tablets, Computers, Electronics, Kitchen Appliances, Games & Consoles, Inks, Toners, Consumer Lifestyle, Personal Care.

5. Deal Dey - Deal Dey, established in March 2011. It features a daily deal on the best things to do, see, eat, and buy in Nigeria. DealDey is an easy and fun way to get fantastic deals on great experiences. Dealdey doesn’t sell stuff as such; it just lists deals that are available at a particular time: discounts, promos, etc.

6. Wakanow – For Travels, Wakanow is Africa’s leading full-service, online travel company. At Wakanow, you make travels plans – buy flight tickets, book hotels, make visa arrangements. It’s the major travel website in Nigeria.

7. Cheki Nigeria– For Automobiles, Cheki Nigeria is the most popular new and used car listing website in Nigeria.

8. Showroom.ng – At Showroom.ng, where you can check if you are looking for where to buy furniture and housewares in Nigeria.

9. Online Marketplace: OLX, Jiji.ng are the two most popular online marketplace in Nigeria. These companies do not have stores or sell merchandise of their own. They are simply platforms for buyers and sellers to meet.

10. Fashpa – Fashpa is a fashion retail website that sells international fashion and lifestyle brands to locals. The company also makes its own clothes for sale. Fashpa is owned by Oyindamola Honey Ogundeyi.

11. Traclist – Traclist goes a few steps farther than Fashpa and sells clothes and accessories for men, women, and children. Also, Traclist has a sellers programme for clothes merchants to sell their items on its platform.

12. Slot.ng – Slot is the most popular electronics-only retail website in Nigeria. Slot franchise started from as a small shop selling electronic devices in Lagos. Now it has grown to become one of the biggest electronics dealers in Nigeria. Just like Yudala, it employs the online and offline retail model.
