The excerpt below was taken from Voice of America:

Nigeria’s former vice president #Atiku Abubakar says the current security situation in the country is “appalling.” He also accused the government in Abuja of lacking the political will to address the violence carried out by Islamist militant group, #BokoHaram.

Abubakar said there is need to restore law and order and protect unarmed civilians who he says have often been victims of terror attacks carried out by the Islamist militants.

He said the growing insecurity has undermined the country’s economy and has negatively impacted Nigeria’s reputation in the international community.

Is a fact well known to all, our FG is playing politics with the issue of security. I pray for better leaders come 2015. Those that can help Nigerians halt the activities of Shekau and his boys.

Wait. How much is AtiKu paying you? You are always singing his praises. The guy has cintrubuted absolutely nothing to stop BokoHaram. He just talks. Yeye.

Keep your words, Turakin. Actions speak louder.
He is a good man, who is misunderstood by many Nigeria. I dnt need to be paid to be on the part of truth.

I love this country. Every time someone has an opinion they are accused of being paid :) I am not a fan of Atiku but @sirOscie has a right to defend him without the accusation. You can question what she says but it is pretty simple to bring it all down to being paid.

Because the FG has turned down anything coming from the opposition. Mind you president GEJ has the whole powers and i feel is time he starts using it wisely.

Come on all.. we have house of assembly full of our representatives, we have state houses full of people taking money every month across the country, we have local government chairs etc... we then have Council of state meetings. Let them tell us on social media, TV, radio etc what they would do differently... this is not the time for party politics. I have not heard that Boko Haram are asking what party you belong to before they kill people.

Boko haram issue is highly politicized in Nigeria. In Cameroon some days back the deputy PM's wife was abducted and in less than 48 hours she was rescued by the Cameroonian soldiers but here for over 100 days 200 plus girls are 'missing' and we have not heard any positive news about them. How sure are we that they are the female bombers in kano state. Four female suicide bombers in less than a week, how do we explain that?
