Nigeria's fastest growing telecommunications company Etisalat, has announced that Afrobeat performer Dede Mabiaku, Yinka Davies, and vocalist Darey-Art Alade, will be the judges of Nigerian Idols Season 5, VANGUARD reports.
OnAir-Personality Ill Rymz will join the three judges as the host of the show.
The announcement was made at Mela Rossa, Ikoyi Lagos on Wednesday January 14, 2015.
At the event, Director, Brand and Experience, Etisalat Nigeria, Enitan Denloye, declared the sponsorship of the competition for 5 consecutive years indicates Etisalat’s dedication to Nigerian youths.
According to Vanguard, at the event, Denloye said "As a company, we are cognizant of the importance of connecting with all our customers and we recognize that music and entertainment resonate with the youth who are a key market segment for us. Sponsoring Nigerian Idol is our way of helping thousands of musically gifted Nigerian youths to live their dreams. The winner of this season’s competition will walk away with a brand new SUV and a 7.5 million naira cash prize, amongst other rewards, according to Vanguard.
