A 25-year-old farmer, Mohammed Tanko, was on Tuesday ordered to be remanded in prison for allegedly killing his wife’s lover.

Tankom, who hails from Gorobani village in Kaiama, Kwara, was charged before an Ilorin Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stabbing to death one Boka who he suspected to be having extramarital affairs with his wife.

The Prosecutor, Cpl. Abideen Oderinde, told the court that on Feb. 25, the accused assaulted Boka because he suspected him having sexual intercourse with his wife (Daya). “As a result, fight ensued between them and Mohammed Tanko stabbed Boka with knife and he died instantly", Oderinde said.
