Nigerian female rapper, Weird MC, known for her hit single, 'Allen Avenue' has revealed one of the biggest mistakes she ever made with late Afro Beat king, Fela Anikulapo Kuti while the legendary singer was alive.
In a recent interview, she revealed that she was in too much of a hurry to get her song out but realised too late that she should have involved Fela in her song on a much deeper level than she did.
Fela gave her his blessing after she did a rap version of one of his songs and she shared how much it hurt her that she had done things differently.
"He gave me his blessing and said that he was in support of my career in music. But the mistake I made was that we had shot the music video before I went to see him. I wished that we hadn’t done that otherwise, I would have begged him to feature in the video," she said.
